Saudi-Korean Symposium to Address AI in Translation

King Abdulaziz Public Library and the General Secretariat of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Award for Translation are partnering with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies to host a scientific symposium in the Republic of Korea titled “Translation and AI: Opportunities and Challenges.”
 The symposium will take place on September 30 in Seoul, coinciding with the award ceremony for the 11th edition of the translation prize. It will feature scholars and researchers specializing in translation and AI technologies from Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Korea.
 The event aims to explore and introduce AI tools and technologies relevant to translators, discuss ethical and intellectual property issues in AI translation, exchange experiences on using AI for translation, and propose strategies to guide its use in the field.
