Transport Authority Opens Applications for Autonomous Vehicle Business Model

The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced today that it has begun accepting applications from companies to join the autonomous vehicle business model, aiming to encourage investment and expand the implementation of a smart and safe transportation system in the Kingdom.
 This acceptance process is part of the initial implementation phase of autonomous vehicles, which the authority launched last week in Riyadh in partnership with government and private sector entities. It aligns with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
 The TGA confirmed that this step enables local and international companies to enter the autonomous vehicle sector. Applications will be received through an electronic form and evaluated based on specific technical criteria.
