Saudi Handicrafts Week Features Stunning Mosaic Creation

At the Saudi International Handicrafts Week (Banan), artist Salwa Al-Amoudi showcases her 12 years of expertise in mosaic art. Her display features intricately crafted pieces, including mosaic tables with Al-Ahsa motifs, a service table shaped like the Kingdom's map, and a lavender seedling made from delicate stones that highlight color gradients.
A standout feature is a 2.5 by 1.2-meter mirror mural, decorated with traditional Najdi engraving. This mural has become a popular photo spot, admired for its design that blends heritage with modernity.
Al-Amoudi began her mosaic art journey during her studies in Islamic Arts, inspired by its aesthetic depth. This passion led to years of practice and exhibitions, culminating in her atelier, where she creates contemporary pieces reflecting Saudi heritage. Her work at Banan showcases a blend of authenticity and innovation.
