David Benavidez Unifies Light Heavyweight Titles at ‘The Ring IV’ Night in Riyadh
With the attendance of Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and President of the Saudi Boxing Federation Turki Alalshikh, “The Ring IV: Night of the Champions” concluded today at anb Arena as part of Riyadh Season 2025, featuring nine world-class bouts.
In the main event, David Benavidez of the US unified the light heavyweight titles after defeating Britain’s Anthony Yarde by knockout in the seventh round. Both fighters delivered exceptional performances that reflected the significance of the bout, drawing a large, energized crowd.
Earlier in the night, Devin Haney of the US captured the WBO world welterweight title with a unanimous-decision victory over world champion Brian Norman Jr. in a fiercely competitive matchup.
In the super flyweight 10th-round contest, Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez of the US knocked out Argentina’s Fernando “Puma” Martinez, becoming the unified holder of the WBA, WBC, and WBO titles as well as The Ring magazine belt, extending his undefeated record.
