Makkah Route Initiative Completes Pilgrims' Travel Procedures in Minutes
The efforts of the Makkah Route Initiative team have streamlined travel procedures for pilgrims from the Republic of Türkiye at Ankara Esenboğa Airport. The entire process is completed within minutes, enabling pilgrims to travel smoothly to the Kingdom to perform Hajj.
Initiative team supervisor at the airport Ahmed Al-Shehri told the Saudi Press Agency that the Makkah Route Initiative aims to facilitate travel for pilgrims by completing all necessary procedures in their home countries. This includes verifying health requirements, issuing electronic visas, tagging luggage, and finalizing entry procedures to the Kingdom.
He noted that upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, pilgrims are transported directly by buses to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah, without needing to undergo further procedures at the airport. Their luggage is delivered separately by service agencies, ensuring a smooth, safe, and reassuring start to their spiritual journey.
