Monsha'at Concludes Participation in 'Slush' to Support High-Potential Saudi Startups
The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) concluded its participation in the Slush exhibition in Helsinki, Finland, with a delegation comprising four Saudi startups identified as high-growth, billion-dollar potential, and ready for international expansion. The participation aimed to strengthen Saudi companies' global presence in leading innovation ecosystems and to connect Saudi entrepreneurs with investors and partners from around the world.
The Saudi delegation attended the Slush activities held at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Center, Messukeskus, on November 19 and 20 and participated in a side event organized by the Saudi digital economy ecosystem in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the National Technology Development Program. The accompanying event highlighted the Saudi technology experience and enabled knowledge exchange with international counterparts.
Monsha'at organized a specialized tour of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Helsinki at Aalto University, which included visits to A-Grid, one of Finland's largest startup communities, and Design Factory to explore Finnish experiences in linking universities with innovation, developing prototypes, and fostering an entrepreneurial culture. The tour provided entrepreneurs with access to global best practices in innovation and direct engagement with the leaders of Finland's startup ecosystem.
Monsha'at affirmed that its participation in Slush builds on its efforts to support the international expansion of Saudi companies, following its recent participation in Web Summit Lisbon. It noted that Saudi companies' presence on global innovation platforms is a key step toward enhancing their competitiveness, attracting foreign investment, and accelerating their growth in international markets.
Monsha'at organized meetings with Finland Business to support opportunities for cooperation between Saudi and Finnish companies, explore expansion prospects in the European market, and establish partnerships in technological and innovative sectors.
Monsha'at's participation in such global events enables Saudi entrepreneurs to access international networks of investors and experts, creating a direct impact on the growth and sustainability of Saudi startups, and aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to support the knowledge economy and strengthen the global presence of national companies.
