Yemen Culture Week Launches under 'Global Harmony 2' Initiative
Yemen Culture Week, held under the "Global Harmony 2" initiative organized by the Ministry of Media in cooperation with the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), began today in Riyadh, attracting thousands of visitors from among citizens and residents of various nationalities, in addition to the Yemeni community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The audience engaged with Yemeni heritage and culture showcased over the eight-day event, which features musical performances, entertainment shows, and the participation of a select group of artists and influencers, along with approximately 80 performers presenting traditional Yemeni folk arts.
The initiative, one of the Quality of Life Program's projects supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, aims to strengthen engagement with residents in the Kingdom and highlight its cultural diversity through an interactive space that brings together various communities and cultures.
The pavilions of Yemen Culture Week display traditional handicrafts, silverware, bamboo products, and live demonstrations of traditional Yemeni clothing design, as well as artifacts and utensils that reflect the richness and aesthetic value of local arts.
The opening day also featured performances by participating folk groups showcasing elements of Yemeni heritage and culture, along with a variety of activities presented by artists and creators, drawing strong interaction from visitors.
The "Global Harmony 2" events continue to attract large attendance, surpassing 1 million visitors from different nationalities during the first four cultural weeks, affirming the initiative's success in highlighting the cultural and social aspects of resident communities in the Kingdom.
