FAO Commends Saudi Reef Program at Global Exhibition 'From Seeds to Foods'

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) commended the outstanding participation of the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Saudi Reef) in the First FAO Global Exhibition: From Seeds to Foods, held in Rome, Italy, from October 10 to 13, coinciding with FAO's 80th anniversary celebrations.

 FAO stated that Saudi Reef's participation served as an important platform to showcase the Kingdom's pioneering and inspiring experience in rural development and empowering agricultural communities. These efforts strengthened the program's position as a global model for achieving sustainable rural development.

 The program's workshop on transforming agri-food systems saw widespread interaction, drawing 65 participants and over 5,000 viewers via live broadcast.

 FAO confirmed that the Kingdom's pavilion, organized by the program, enjoyed a remarkable presence, attracting a large number of visitors with its diverse, interactive content and insights into the Saudi agricultural landscape. The accompanying events, featuring Saudi Ardah and authentic coffee hospitality, showcased the Kingdom's rich cultural heritage.

 FAO concluded its commendation by noting that the Saudi Reef program won the Global Technical Recognition award in the pioneering rural projects category. The award celebrates the program's innovative practices, highlights the fruitful cooperation between FAO and the Kingdom, and positions it as a model for global best practices in rural development.
