Aseer’s Coastline: A Hub for Ecotourism and Marine Beauty on the Red Sea
Aseer Region stands as one of the most naturally diverse destinations in the Kingdom, featuring highlands, majestic mountains, and an extended coastline overlooking the Red Sea, which together create breathtaking scenery and unique tourist experiences.
Aseer’s coastline stretches over 140 kilometers along the Red Sea, encompassing Al-Birk Governorate and surrounding areas, defined by white sands intersecting with tranquil beaches, clear blue waters, and abundant coastal plants such as mangroves and palm trees.
Al-Birk Governorate is adorned with a series of offshore islands considered among the most beautiful natural sites on the Red Sea. Along with its pristine beaches, these islands form a picture of rare environmental and geological diversity, making Al-Birk a promising destination for ecotourism and marine trips.
These islands are distinguished by their rich biodiversity; they are home to colorful coral reefs—among the most beautiful in the Red Sea—and surrounded by mangrove forests, which are prominent coastal ecosystems. They also serve as a safe breeding ground for migratory birds and sea turtles, establishing them as an important center of biodiversity in the region.
