Hail Development Authority Delegation Visits Jordan to Study Archaeological Site Management
A Hail Region Development Authority delegation visited Jordan to explore advanced methods for developing and managing archaeological and tourist sites and learn about the local community's role in enriching these locations.
The delegation's field trips included two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Wadi Rum Protected Area, where the delegation viewed ancient inscriptions and learned about investment in desert camps, and Petra, where the delegation explored the historical landmarks and visitor centers to learn about diverse tourism experiences. The visit also included several cooperative societies and handicraft workshops.
Hail Region Development Authority CEO Omar Abduljabbar‏ said that the visit aimed to exchange expertise and learn from Jordan's success in managing globally significant archaeological sites. He added that the authority is working to align its heritage development projects with Vision 2030 goals. This effort will strengthen Hail's position on the global tourism map and turn its historical sites into cultural and economic assets, contributing to the diversification of the national economy and increasing Hail's appeal to tourists and investors.
