Ithra Marks 95th Saudi National Day with over 40 Cultural and Heritage Events

In celebration of the 95th Saudi National Day, observed on September 23, the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) will present more than 40 cultural and heritage events for all ages. Running from September 22 to 27, the program brings together arts, heritage, creativity, and joy in honor of the country’s 95th anniversary. The celebration expresses Saudi Arabia’s authentic traditions and identity, reflecting unity and strengthening the spirit of national cohesion.
The six-day program aims to showcase the cultural diversity of Saudi Arabia and the noble nature of its people, from north to south and east to west. It features heritage experiences, art exhibitions, and performance and musical shows, offering a renewed narrative that celebrates the Kingdom’s authentic Saudi identity.
Ithra invited visitors to celebrate their heritage and culture through the “‏Saudi Emblem Archive” exhibition, a visual documentation of one of the Kingdom’s most iconic national symbols. Visitors can also explore the “From Bean to Cup” exhibition, a sensory journey that tastes culture while highlighting the link between hospitality and tradition. The exhibition showcases the diversity of Saudi coffee across regions, from colors and flavors to roasting methods. In an exceptional interactive celebration, “Sing-Along”, the audience becomes both singer and performer, blending their voices with timeless national songs.
Visitors to Ithra will embark on the “Saudi Time Capsule”, an interactive and imaginative experience that allows participants to envision their dreams through heartfelt messages and images they will receive in 2030. The celebrations continue with “Dialogues of Tunes”, a musical performance in the heart of the plaza that blends the rich tones of the oud with the rhythms of semsemiah, inviting the audience to become part of the music and the scene. In Ithra’s gardens, light and music merge with a spectacular fireworks display, creating an immersive, family-friendly, and patriotic atmosphere.
The events across Ithra’s venues offer spacious and innovative areas for families to celebrate with their children. The Children’s Museum provides a journey towards the horizon, evoking the glories of the past while opening a window to the future. Meanwhile, workshops allow participants to create artistic and craft works, including “Craft a Lavender” Workshop, as well as educational experiences such as “Stamp of Glory,” “Art Speaks Saudi,” and “RoboCamel Adventure.”
