GASTAT President Highlights National Statistical Transformation at 3rd GCC Statistical Forum in Qatar

General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) President Fahad Al-Dossari participated in a dialogue session titled "Insights of GCC Statistical Leaders: Toward an Integrated Data System for a Sustainable Future" at the Third GCC Statistical Forum in Qatar, which brought together agency leaders, experts, and decision-makers to strengthen regional cooperation and shape the future of statistical work in the Gulf.

 Al-Dossari highlighted the Kingdom’s ongoing statistical transformation, emphasizing that reliable data is a fundamental pillar for supporting the objectives of Vision 2030. He noted that GASTAT has implemented a comprehensive transformation plan in recent years to rebuild the national statistical system and modernize its digital infrastructure, improving data quality and accelerating production.

 The GCC Statistical Forum is one of the region’s foremost gatherings dedicated to the statistics sector. It serves as a platform for discussing the latest developments, challenges, and opportunities in data-related fields, as well as strategies to strengthen national statistical systems and build capabilities that support sustainable economic and social development across GCC countries.
