KSrelief Participates in Strategic Dialogue Conference to Support Yemen’s Health Sector

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) yesterday took part in the strategic dialogue conference to support the health sector in Yemen, held in Aden. The conference was organized by the Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population in cooperation with the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, with the participation of major international donors, UN agencies, and health and development organizations.

In his address, Director of the center’s branch in Aden Saleh Al-Theebani highlighted the key health programs and projects implemented by KSrelief in Yemen and the humanitarian impact they have achieved in strengthening the capacity of government hospitals and improving healthcare services.

Discussions focused on setting national priorities in light of the current health situation, future funding trends, and mechanisms for aligning humanitarian and development efforts. Participants also reviewed a roadmap for developing a long-term health strategy in the coming months.

According to the conference’s final statement, participants underscored the need to improve the efficiency and coordination of international support through the newly established International Group for Coordination and Support of the Health Sector in Yemen. They also emphasized the importance of enhancing resilience amid funding reductions and operational challenges, and ensuring fair access to high-quality healthcare services for the most vulnerable groups.
