Two Holy Mosques Authority: Over 66 Million Visitors to Two Holy Mosques during Jumada Al-Awwal 1447 AH

 The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque said that the total number of visitors to the Two Holy Mosques during Jumada Al-Awwal 1447 AH reached 66,633,153, marking an increase of 12,121,252 visitors compared with the previous month.

 The authority said that the number of worshippers at the Grand Mosque reached 25,987,679, including 100,489 worshippers in Hijr Ismail (Al-Hateem), while the number of Umrah performers reached 13,972,780.

 It added that the number of worshippers at the Prophet’s Mosque during the same month totaled 23,296,185, including 912,695 worshippers in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah. Meanwhile, 2,363,325 visitors greeted the Prophet and his two companions.

 The authority uses advanced technology based on sensor readers to monitor the number of worshippers and pilgrims from among the visitors at the main entrances of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque. This step aims to enhance operational efficiency by monitoring flows and crowds, empowering relevant authorities to better manage the crowds in partnership with associated entities.
