GASTAT: Operating Revenue Index Rises 5% in November 2025
The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) reported today in its Short-Term Business Indicators Statistics bulletin that the Kingdom’s Operating Revenue Index rose by 5.0% in November 2025 compared to the same month in 2024.
This growth in short-term businesses was driven by increases across several economic activities, most notably manufacturing at 6.5%, wholesale and retail trade including motor vehicle repair at 9.5%, construction at 7.4%, financial and insurance activities at 14.4%, and information and communication at 8.6%.
Meanwhile, the Employees Compensation Index within the Short-Term Business Statistics recorded a year-on-year increase of 13.6%. This rise was supported by higher activity levels in manufacturing at 18.8%, construction at 4.7%, wholesale and retail trade including motor vehicle repair at 10.5%, mining and quarrying at 15.0%, and financial and insurance activities at 9.5%.
The Short-Term Business Statistics product is one of GASTAT’s economic statistical products that measure the short-term performance of various economic activities through monthly indicators monitoring developments and growth rates for each activity. It covers all economic activities of establishments operating in the business sector in Saudi Arabia.
