Tourism Minister Tours Islamic Arts Biennale 2025 in Jeddah

Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb visited the Islamic Arts Biennale 2025, held under the theme "And All That Is in Between." The biennale, organized by the Diriyah Biennale Foundation, is being held at the Western Hajj Terminal at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and will continue until May 25.

During his tour on Tuesday evening, Al-Khateeb explored the prominent artistic and historical works featured in the biennale. With over 500 historical objects and contemporary artworks, the biennale showcases the rich heritage of Islamic arts and cultures, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s role as a global center for culture and the arts.

He listened to explanations about the seven unique artistic components of the biennale—Al Bidayah, Al Madar, Al Muqtani, Al Midhallah, Al Mukarramah, Al Munawwarah, and Al Musalla—which blend archaeological treasures with contemporary artistic creations.

The minister toured the biennale halls, designed to provide a unique visual and cultural experience, and viewed a diverse collection of loaned works, including artifacts, historical pieces, and valuable Islamic collectibles. The biennale also features artworks from major international institutions, including the Louvre Museum in Paris and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
