Riyadh Opens Windows to Future of Education at EDGEx 2025

In an interactive scene blending technology and knowledge, Riyadh transformed into a global destination in the field of education with the launch of the Education Global Exhibition (EDGEx 2025), organized by the Ministry of Education.

The event attracted a wide range of visitors, including academics, teachers, students, and parents, all coming together to explore new paths in education and discover innovative solutions reshaping the academic future.

The exhibition embodies the development of the education sector in the Kingdom and reflects the ongoing digital transformation and knowledge integration within an interactive environment rich in content and experiences. It bridges the gap between education and technology and supports national directions toward building a sustainable knowledge-based society.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) interviewed several visitors who shared their impressions of the exhibition’s content and interactive experiences. They highlighted how the event showcased a modern vision of the Kingdom’s educational system, contributing to a smarter and more integrated learning environment aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

In this context, Dr. Mohammed Al-Nefaie from King Saud University said that digital transformation in education is no longer optional but a tangible reality, as demonstrated by the models and ideas presented at EDGEx 2025. He praised the technological solutions showcased by various universities, especially in areas such as intelligent guidance systems and virtual reality.

Saud Al-Harbi, a high school teacher, said, “I came to the exhibition to develop my in-class teaching tools, and I found a wealth of ideas in the educational pavilions that can be adapted for school, such as applications that integrate AI (artificial intelligence) with formative assessment and platforms that support students in scientific subjects. It was a very enriching experience."

Amal Al-Sulami, a high school student, shared her excitement during her visit. "It was amazing to see how education can be interactive and tech-driven. I loved the hands-on experiences at the University of Jeddah and Taibah University pavilions. It really got me thinking seriously about future majors related to technology and artificial intelligence."

According to Noura Al-Ghamdi, "I came to the exhibition looking for modern educational tools to benefit my children, and I found intelligent learning platforms and interactive programs suitable for their different age stages. It was a valuable opportunity to understand how schools today are moving toward smart and holistic education."

This year’s exhibition presents a model of collaboration between Saudi universities and international educational institutions through the showcasing of pioneering initiatives and strategic partnerships aimed at building globally competitive generations equipped with modern knowledge and skills, contributing to the Human Capability Development Program.
