RGA Continues Strategy to Develop Sector and Enhance Local Content
The Roads General Authority (RGA) affirmed the continued implementation of its strategy to develop and sustain the roads sector and support local content and national capabilities, including developing the regulatory environment, localizing industries, transferring knowledge, and enhancing private sector participation in road projects.
The authority explained that enhancing local content in the sector is based on setting annual targets for each project commensurate with its nature and size, incorporating standards and requirements that support national industry development, create opportunities to localize industries and transfer knowledge, and expand private sector participation, thereby supporting the local economy.
The authority indicated that it continues to expand the application of modern technical standards based on its strategic pillars, aimed at establishing an effective legislative and regulatory framework and providing a unified, transparent system that ensures policy integration and enhances regulatory compliance.
