Masam Project Removes 863 Mines Across Yemen

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's (KSrelief) Masam Project for Clearing Landmines in Yemen removed 863 mines from various areas of Yemen during the first week of September 2026, including six anti-personnel mines, 470 anti-tank mines, 384 unexploded ordnance items, and three explosive devices.
 The total number of mines removed since the launch of the Masam Project has risen to 589,188. These mines had been indiscriminately planted across Yemen, posing a threat to the lives of innocent children, women, and the elderly, and spreading fear among civilians.
 Through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, Saudi Arabia continues its efforts to clear landmines from Yemeni territory under the Masam Project, enhancing civilian safety and helping enable the brotherly Yemeni people to live in dignity and security.
