GCA President Participates in Meeting of Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions of GCC Countries

President of General Court of Audit (GCA) Dr. Hussam Alangari participated in the 23rd Meeting of Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which was held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
 The meeting addressed a number of topics related to strengthening cooperation and partnership among the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the GCC states. It also reviewed the General Secretariat’s report on the training programs implemented for staff of the Gulf SAIs in 2025 and 2026, in line with the objectives and initiatives aimed at developing and qualifying auditors in peer Gulf SAIs.
 The meeting participants also reviewed the findings of a study on the recommendations contained in the winning research papers of the sixth edition of the “GCC Competition for Research and Studies in the Field of Audit and Accounting,” as well as the topics proposed for its seventh edition. Additionally, a number of other items on the meeting’s agenda were discussed, and the necessary actions were taken accordingly.
 As part of the meeting’s proceedings, Executive Director of the Financial Performance, Education, and Human Resources Group at GCA Ibrahim Alnasser was honored for his excellence among the staff of the supreme audit institutions of the GCC)member states. The honor was part of an annual initiative carried out by the Gulf SAIs to recognize individuals who excel in auditing work within their institutions.
 For his part, Alnasser expressed his pride in receiving the honor, emphasizing that it serves as a significant source of motivation for employees of peer Gulf SAIs to work even harder to achieve their institutions’ objectives. He also expressed his appreciation for the strong support he and his colleagues at GCA receive from the President of GCA, which enables them to conduct audits with the highest levels of professionalism and competence.
