IsDB Institute and Awqaf (Mauritius) Foundation Conclude International Waqf Conference

The Islamic Development Bank Institute (IsDB), a member of the Islamic Development Bank Group, in collaboration with the Awqaf (Mauritius) Foundation, concluded a three-day International Waqf Conference held in Port Louis, Mauritius, under the theme "Reviving Waqf for Community Empowerment: Building Strong Waqf Foundations through Strategic Management, Good Governance, and Sustainable Investment."
 Delegations from Comoros, Madagascar, Malaysia, Singapore, the Maldives, Mozambique, Réunion Island, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, and the United Kingdom attended, along with representatives from non-governmental organizations and community leaders.
 Participants discussed a range of topics, including investment and economic principles of Waqf, governance models, asset development strategies, Islamic finance methodologies, practical solutions, legal documentation, and the role of Waqf institutions in promoting transparency and accountability and achieving sustainable social impact.
