Saudi Media Forum Concludes, Announces Award Winners
The fourth Saudi Media Forum, held from February 19 to 21 under the theme "Media in an Evolving World," along with its Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), concluded with a closing ceremony, attended by Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary
and other dignitaries, where the winners of the forum's awards across 14 media and communications categories were announced.
The forum, the largest specialized media gathering in the Middle East, attracted over 80,000 local and international visitors. It featured more than 80 dialogue sessions and 30 workshops, attracting strong participation and engagement. The forum facilitated strategic opportunities for local companies to connect with global counterparts and forge partnerships that address the rapid transformations in the media industry. In addition, five initiatives focused on developing national media talent were held, along with six interactive experiences.
Meanwhile, FOMEX showcased the latest technologies and innovations in the media sector, with over 250 participating local and international companies.
The forum also fostered partnerships that resulted in 16 strategic memoranda of understanding and cooperation between government agencies and the private sector. These agreements focus on broadcasting, media training, and developing national competencies in tourism and sports storytelling, contributing to the national economy in line with Vision 2030.
Over three days, the forum provided a platform to explore local and international media experiences, examine the potential of new media, and explore how to harness soft power in the modern era.
