Tanzania Quran Competition Organizers Affirm Kingdom’s Role Serving Holy Quran

The organizing committee of the 33rd edition of the Tanzania International Holy Quran Competition affirmed the Kingdom's role in serving the Holy Quran and spreading its values, which call for peace, love, and combating extremism. 

The committee also highlighted the objectives of the competition, including enhancing a spirit of competition among youth in memorizing the Quran and acting upon its guidance. 

During a news conference held yesterday in Dar es Salaam, the committee explained that the competition aims to promote the noble Islamic values, spread the teachings of the Quran, encourage youth to memorize it, and call for spreading goodness, peace, and rejecting extremism and radicalism. 

The committee noted that the competition contributes to strengthening communication among Islamic countries, raising awareness of the importance of the Quran in the lives of Muslims, and spreading peace and security by promoting Islamic values based on tolerance and moderation. 

Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance spokesperson Abdullah Al-Anzi reviewed the ministry’s efforts and programs in various countries around the world, as well as the seasonal projects and programs carried out to serve Muslims worldwide and spread the values of moderate Islam. 

Tanzania Holy Quran Awards chairman Sheikh Othman Kaporo praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s support for the 33rd edition of the competition, which includes participants from 25 countries. He also expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Kingdom for its continued support and assistance to Tanzania and its people in all fields, including the organization of international Quran memorization competitions.
