Municipalities Minister Inspects Hajj Service Readiness, Emergency Shelter Centers in Makkah

Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail today inspected several service facilities and field sites in Makkah to assess the municipal sector's readiness to serve pilgrims during the 1446 AH Hajj season, accompanied by Makkah Region Mayor Musaed Al-Dawood.

During the inspection tour, the minister was briefed on the operational preparations of the emergency shelter centers, which are supervised by the ministry as part of an integrated emergency response system. These centers include more than 10,000 tents, as well as logistical and field support equipment, and trained emergency teams operating around the clock in full coordination with relevant authorities.

These efforts fall within the ministry's comprehensive plan to support the Hajj system, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims and enable them to perform their rituals in a safe and organized environment that meets the aspirations of the leadership and the needs of pilgrims.
