
Saudi Society For Camel Studies Launches Third Scientific Forum Under the Theme ‘Camels Through the Ages’
The third edition of the Scientific Forum organized by the Saudi Society For Camel Studies commenced today at King Saud University under the theme “Camels Through the Ages.” The two-day event is being held in the College of Tourism and Antiquities.
The opening session covered a range of topics, including the health benefits of camel milk, camel nutrition, and the artistic depiction of camels in ancient rock art across northwestern Saudi Arabia.
Chairman of the Saudi Society for Camel Studies Dr. Mohammed Al-Otaibi emphasized the society’s commitment to advancing camel-related studies in fields such as health, nutrition, history, literature, and archaeology.
Now in its third edition, the forum continues to promote scientific inquiry and cultural identity by showcasing the historical and civilizational importance of camels in Saudi society, both past and present.
