The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque outlined its comprehensive efforts and services for the upcoming Hajj season, 1446 AH, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring the utmost ease and tranquility for pilgrims, delivered to the highest standards of organization and quality.
To enhance the pilgrim experience, the presidency has designated 13 prayer areas for people with disabilities, ensuring accessibility for all. Mobility is facilitated by 22 elevators and 224 escalators throughout the two holy mosques.
For awareness and education, informational materials are available in 27 languages, catering to the diverse nationalities of pilgrims. Entry and exit are streamlined through 199 open doors, efficiently managing crowd movement.
To combat the summer heat and enhance comfort, 883 air conditioning units, 244 misting fans, and 3,139 ventilation fans are fully operational. The ambiance is further enriched by 432 aroma diffusers, spreading fragrant scents.
Transportation services were bolstered with 400 electric carts to assist pilgrims in performing their rituals.
Safety and emergency readiness are paramount, with 1,229 emergency equipment units strategically placed.
An integrated audio network of 8,000 high-quality speakers ensures clear communication.
The libraries of the two holy mosques continue their scientific and cultural mission, providing access to 8,503 rare manuscripts through digitization initiatives, serving researchers and scholars. Furthermore, over 120,309 lighting units illuminate the two holy mosques and their facilities.
The presidency stressed that these intensive preparations align with Saudi Vision 2030 and the directives of the wise leadership, aiming to provide a safe, organized, and serene Hajj experience for every pilgrim and visitor.
