Over 78,000 Health Services Provided to Hajj Pilgrims by Dhu Al-Hijjah 2

By the second day of Dhu Al-Hijjah in the Hajj season 1446 AH, Saudi Arabia’s health sector had delivered over 78,000 health services to pilgrims, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to providing high-quality, efficient care in line with the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Pilgrim Experience Program under Vision 2030, aimed at enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals in ease and tranquility.

 The Ministry of Health reported that more than 46,000 pilgrims visited health centers, with 17,000 cases handled by emergency departments and over 860 patients treated in outpatient clinics. More than 3,000 cases required hospital admission, including over 1,600 in intensive care. Notably, eight open-heart surgeries and 104 cardiac catheterizations were performed.

 The ministry efficiently managed five cases of heat stress while the 937 Medical Consultation Center provided over 27,000 consultations, enhancing immediate and reliable medical support for pilgrims.

 The health sector continues its efforts to ensure comprehensive, high-quality healthcare throughout the Hajj season, safeguarding pilgrims' health and safety and ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of medical services.
