Arab Parliament Speaker Condemns Israel’s Publishing of Alleged Historic Maps Depicting Arab Lands

Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mohammed Al Yamahi has condemned the publication of alleged historic maps by official accounts affiliated with the Israeli occupation government. These maps purportedly depict Palestinian and Arab lands, coinciding with provocative statements by the Israeli finance minister advocating for the annexation of the West Bank and the establishment of settlements in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement on Wednesday, Speaker Al Yamahi expressed categorical rejection of such calls, asserting that they aim to undermine the rights of the Palestinian people and prevent them from establishing an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Al Yamahi further noted that these provocative actions by the Israeli occupation constitute blatant violations of international resolutions, international law, and international humanitarian law, calling for a robust international response to counter these practices.
He urged the international community, along with free nations and international and regional parliaments, to fulfill their moral and legal responsibilities by pressuring the occupying power to cease its baseless claims.
The Arab Parliament speaker emphasized that the Israeli occupation’s actions and violations pose significant threats to security and stability in the region, infringing upon the rights of peoples, their lands, and their national sovereignty.
