SDAIA President Visits ‘Makkah Route Initiative’ and Pilgrims’ Halls at King Abdulaziz International Airport

President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi visited on Saturday the “Makkah Route Initiative” and the pilgrims’ terminals at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

 Dr. Al-Ghamdi reviewed the technical procedures and preparations provided by SDAIA to facilitate the journey of pilgrims during the Hajj season 1446 AH. He also examined the entry procedures for pilgrims arriving from the Makkah Route Initiative's terminal at Solo Airport in Indonesia, which SDAIA supported technologically. The initiative reflects the operational and technical integration that has accelerated the completion of entry requirements, supporting the goals of the Pilgrim Experience Program, a key pillar of Saudi Vision 2030.

 During his tour, Dr. Al-Ghamdi urged SDAIA teams to maintain their dedication and intensify efforts throughout the Hajj season, highlighting the national responsibility and honor of serving pilgrims. He emphasized the importance of recognizing the great trust placed in them and working as one team to provide the highest quality of services in line with the leadership’s vision of leveraging modern technologies to enhance the pilgrimage experience.

 The Ministry of Interior is implementing the initiative for the seventh year, in cooperation with the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, and Media, as well as the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), SDAIA, the General Authority of Awqaf, the Pilgrim Experience Program, and the General Directorate of Passports.
