
Saudi Arabia Highlights Vision on AI Governance at MED Dialogues in Italy
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), demonstrated its advanced vision for artificial intelligence governance and the promotion of digital sovereignty at the MED Dialogues 2025 forum, held in Naples, Italy, from October 15 to 17 and attended by a select group of leaders, officials, and experts from around the world.
On behalf of SDAIA at the forum, researcher and expert Dr. Faisal Al-Otaibi took part in a closed discussion on the geopolitics of cloud computing, focusing on sovereignty and digital infrastructure. He also engaged in an open dialogue about AI developments in the Middle East and their implications for security and the economy.
This participation aligns with SDAIA's ongoing efforts to enhance international cooperation in AI and showcase Saudi Arabia's pioneering experience in building a national economy based on data and AI, in accordance with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
