Artisan Aljuhani Showcases Portrait Embroidery at ‘Banan’
Amid artisans and craft enthusiasts at the Saudi International Handicrafts Week “Banan,” artisan Hamad Aljuhani is presenting a striking experience in the world of hand embroidery, recreating facial features with needle and thread in a style that blends precision, creativity, and innovation.
Aljuhani began his journey in 2020 using traditional needles, focusing on portrait embroidery, a field where he found the greatest potential to highlight the strength of each stitch and the depth of detail. As his expertise grew, his curiosity led him to explore punch needle embroidery, opening new avenues to produce high-quality handmade pieces in larger quantities, turning his initial passion into a successful commercial venture.
He notes that his interest in embroidery traces back to his mother, who has over thirty years of experience in the craft, emphasizing that today, he continues her legacy, carrying forward a long-standing family tradition in this art form.
