Riyadh International Book Fair Returns this Thursday

The Riyadh International Book Fair is set to open on Thursday at King Saud University. Organized by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, the fair, deemed to be one of the largest cultural events in the region, will run until October 5.

 Over 2,000 publishing houses and agencies from 30 countries will participate in this year's edition, displaying their works in 800 pavilions. The fair's global reach underscores its status of a leading book event.

 Qatar will be the guest of honor at the fair, reflecting its prominent cultural role in the region. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Qatar's achievements in culture, art, and literature, and meet renowned Qatari cultural figures.

 The fair's cultural program features over 200 activities consisting of seminars, discussions, lectures, poetry evenings, and workshops. This year, the fair celebrates the Year of the Camel with dedicated symposiums and events.

 Children will also be well-catered to with a dedicated pavilion offering various activities, including arts, crafts, and storytelling.

 Qatar will also participate with a children's pavilion focused on Islamic architecture and children's book design.

 Book lovers can look forward to book signings, special gifts, and the latest publications at the fair.
