AlUla Astronomy Event Offers Stunning Views and Interactive Learning
AlUla Manara team, in collaboration with the AlUla Astronomy Club, hosted an outdoor astronomy event on Monday at the iconic Arch site, showcasing the wonders of the AlUla night sky. The event attracted astronomy enthusiasts, experts, residents, and visitors alike, all coming together to deepen their connection with space science.
Participants had the unique opportunity to observe the Milky Way during one of the month’s best viewing periods. They also had the chance to have a close-up observation of the planet Saturn through telescopes, allowing them to marvel at the planet’s stunning rings in vivid detail.
In addition to the observations, the event featured interactive educational sessions that simplified complex scientific concepts such as galaxy formation, astronomical observation techniques, and the importance of choosing locations free from artificial light for skywatching.
This event is part of a year-round series organized by AlUla Manara to promote scientific awareness and nurture a culture of curiosity and discovery. By offering immersive, educational experiences outside traditional settings, these efforts enable diverse audiences to engage directly with the wonders of science, nature, and the universe.
