
Madinah Region Governor Visits Almadinah Book Fair, Highlights the City's Cultural Standing
Governor of Madinah Region Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz visited the fourth edition of Almadinah Book Fair, organized by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission. The fair is being held behind the King Salman International Convention and Exhibition Center and will run until August 4.
Prince Salman bin Sultan praised the continuous and unwavering support extended to the cultural sector by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, underscoring the cultural significance and prominent role of Madinah in the Kingdom’s cultural landscape.
The governor toured the fair’s pavilions, which feature the participation of more than 300 Arab and international publishing houses and agencies spread across over 200 booths. He was briefed by Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission Chief Executive Officer Dr. Abdullatif Abdulaziz Al Wasel on the fair’s goals to stimulate cultural activity in the Kingdom, support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and highlight the cultural prominence of Madinah given its rich historical and intellectual heritage.
Prince Salman also visited the artisans’ section, which is part of the fair’s celebration of the 2025 Year of Handicrafts, in addition to viewing the accompanying cultural program.
