Why is Thadiq Considered a Historic City in Saudi Arabia?

Thadiq, the regional capital of Al-Mahmal, is known for its pivotal role in supporting King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud during the unification of the Kingdom.

 Founded in 1079 AH, the city is located 165 kilometers northwest of Riyadh, and bordered by the governorates of Al-Majmaah, Rumah, Huraymila, Shaqra, and Marat.

 Thadiq is part of the North Riyadh UNESCO Global Geopark, a testament to its geological and cultural heritage. The city also features numerous archaeological sites that reflect its rich history and status as a significant cultural and tourist destination in the region.
