Music Commission Organizes 'Marvels of Saudi Orchestra' Concert at the Palace of Versailles

Under the patronage of Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Music Commission’s Board of Directors Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the Music Commission announced that the “Marvels of Saudi Orchestra” concert will take place on September 5 at the Palace of Versailles in Paris, one of Europe’s prominent cultural and historical landmarks.
The concert aims to strengthen cultural and artistic cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic, highlight civilizational exchange and underscore the Music Commission’s role in supporting the international presence of Saudi song and celebrating its authenticity.
The Saudi National Orchestra and Choir will present works that highlight Saudi Arabia’s cultural heritage and artistic diversity. The Orchestra of the Royal Opera of the Palace of Versailles will perform French pieces in line with the historical heritage of the Palace of Versailles. A joint musical segment will blend Saudi and French musical traditions. In addition, the Theatre and Performing Arts Commission will present a range of performing arts, including Al Khobeiti, Al Majroor, Al Rifaihi, and Al Khathwah.
Paris is the eighth stop in the global tour of the Saudi National Orchestra and Choir, organized by the Music Commission. It marks a return to Paris for the second time after the inaugural performance at Théâtre du Châtelet. The tour has also included performances at the National Theatre in Mexico City, the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, Central Hall Westminster in London, Tokyo Opera City, the King Fahd Cultural Centre in Riyadh, and the Sydney Opera House. The performances have received wide local and international acclaim, reflecting the growing status of Saudi music on the global music scene.
The concert at the Palace of Versailles stands as a testament to the universal dimension of music that transcends geography and language, presenting an open artistic dialogue with French culture that reflects shared human values and affirms the role of the arts in advancing communication between civilizations.
