WAMY Praises Saudi Efforts in Serving the Holy Quran
The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has commended Saudi Arabia's extensive efforts in serving the Holy Quran, mainly in printing, publishing, teaching, and translating the Quran, as well as honoring and encouraging memorizers and reciters worldwide.
The statement was made on the occasion of the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran, which is being held at the Grand Mosque in Makkah with the participation of 179 contestants from 128 countries.
WAMY noted that the Kingdom has provided unwavering support for international Quran competitions for decades, establishing Quranic societies and specialized colleges and institutes. It has also distributed millions of copies of the Quran in Islamic countries and among Muslim minorities in the West. The Kingdom's generous financial support for students and memorizers of the Quran has significantly contributed to their excellence and achievements.
