netzero Partners with IUCN to Promote Nature-Based Solutions

The netzero platform, developed by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture's Sedrah program, signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) yesterday.

The agreement aims to promote positive nature-based solutions across the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia, directly supporting the Kingdom’s initiatives to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2060.

This collaboration with IUCN underscores the Kingdom’s leadership in climate innovation and the transition to a sustainable economy. It builds on the Kingdom’s expanding role in supporting entrepreneurs who develop smart environmental technologies domestically, positioning Saudi Arabia as a global model for linking innovation with the practical application of environmental protection and climate change mitigation.
