The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition: 1750 Prisoners of War and Detainees to be Released between All Yemeni Parties Including 7 Saudis

Statement by the Official Spokesperson of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen Major General Turki Al-Malki "An agreement has been signed today for the future release of (1750) Prisoners of War and detainees from all Yemeni parties and Coalition forces. The agreement included (27) from Coalition forces, (7) of which are Saudi Prisoners of War.

The agreement was signed this afternoon, Thursday, 14 May 2026, in the Jordanian Capital (Amman) between the Yemeni parties. The signing of the agreement was under the auspices of the United Nations Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen, Mr. Hans Grundberg, and attended by the Joint Forces’ Negotiations Committee.

The Joint Forces Command reaffirms that the POWs and detainees file is of pure humanitarian nature and utmost importance for the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen until all POWs and detainees are returned safely."
