
SFD Participates in Signing Ceremony for Consultancy Contracts in Pakistan
The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), represented by Director General of Asia Operations Dr. Saud Al-Shammari, participated in a ceremony to sign consultancy service contracts for SFD-financed projects in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, attended by Pakistan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs Secretary Dr. Kazim Niaz and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Al-Malki.
Specialized consultancy firms from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed the contracts, marking a step forward in cooperation through the exchange of expertise and the collaborative implementation of the projects. The agreements cover the commencement of consultancy services for the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Hospital in Islamabad, financed by SFD through a $20 million grant from the Kingdom; the establishment of the Shounter Hydropower Project, supported by a $66 million development loan from SFD; and the Jagran-IV Hydropower Project, financed by SFD through a $35 million development loan.
