Sotheby’s to Hold Auction in Diriyah Featuring over 60 Artworks
Sotheby’s is scheduled to hold its second auction in the Kingdom in Diriyah, featuring more than 60 artworks for acquisition and showcasing contemporary works by Saudi and Middle Eastern artists as well as global names such as Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Anish Kapoor.
Titled “Origins II,” the auction marks the first presentation of works by Saudi artists Mohamed Siam and Dia Aziz Dia, who are among the prominent voices of the second generation of contemporary artists in the Kingdom.
Their works will be displayed alongside pieces by pioneers of contemporary art, including Safeya Binzagr, Abdulhalim Radwi, and Mohammed Al-Saleem. The “Origins II” exhibition will be open to the public with free admission at Bujairi Terrace in Diriyah until 7:30 p.m. on January 31, coinciding with the opening of the Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale 2026.
