International Video Art Forum Starts in Al-Khobar

The sixth edition of the International Video Art Forum, organized in Dammam by the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts in partnership with the Cinema Association, opened on December 18 at the society's headquarters in Al-Khobar; it will go on for 10 days.

 During this edition of the forum, 56 artworks from 29 countries, selected from 127 submissions received from 41 countries, will be on display. A jury will evaluate the entries, and the winners will be announced at the conclusion of the forum.

 The International Video Art Forum has established itself as a leading platform showing contemporary visual art in the Gulf region. Over the past five editions, the forum has showcased 823 artworks from more than 70 countries; 31 specialized seminars and workshops were held as well.
