The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Jeddah, in cooperation with Wisdom House Chinese Language Education, held a ceremony yesterday evening to honor the winners of the second Chinese calligraphy competition, organized under the theme “Ink Conveys Emotions, Calligraphy Paints Friendship.”

The event, held as part of the Saudi–Chinese Cultural Year 2025, was attended by Consul General of China in Jeddah Wang Qimin, along with a number of officials, academics, and individuals interested in cultural relations between the two countries.

The competition saw broad participation, with more than 300 works submitted by amateur and professional calligraphers from various regions of the Kingdom, reflecting the depth of cultural partnership and intellectual cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China.

The submitted works were evaluated by a specialized judging panel in the youth and adult categories, resulting in the awarding of the grand prize, as well as first, second, and third prizes, in addition to excellence awards, bringing the total number of winners to 78. An additional award was presented for outstanding organizational performance by educational institutions and specialized institutes.

The winning works are scheduled to be exhibited in several intermediate and secondary public schools across the Kingdom.
