KSrelief Signs Agreement for Urgent Cholera Response in Yemen
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a cooperation agreement today with a civil society organization to implement an urgent cholera-response project aimed at combating cholera in Yemen, benefiting 1,153,386 individuals.
The agreement seeks to reduce the number of cholera cases and limit the disease’s spread by providing essential medical tools, equipment, antibiotics, and solutions. It also includes preventive measures to stop the transmission of the disease to neighboring countries through the deployment of medical teams at air and land ports to monitor travelers and ensure they are free of infection.
In addition, the project will raise public awareness about cholera prevention through educational sessions and the distribution of awareness materials.
This agreement falls within the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts, through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to support medical facilities, promote health awareness, and help prevent the cross-border spread of epidemic diseases.
