Saudi Arabia, Belarus Sign MoU on Accounting, Auditing, Professional Cooperation

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by General Court of Audit (GCA) President Dr. Hussam Alangari, and the Republic of Belarus, represented by State Control Committee Chairman Vasily Gerasimov, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today to strengthen cooperation in the fields of accounting, auditing, and professional development.

According to a GCA press release, both sides will collaborate on exchanging expertise in financial, compliance, and performance auditing. They will also implement joint research and advisory projects, and organize meetings, conferences, and training programs on topics of mutual interest within the framework of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).

Commenting on the signing, Alangari emphasized that this MoU builds on a series of agreements the GCA has concluded with peer institutions in both brotherly and friendly nations. Collectively, these agreements highlight the GCA’s prominent professional standing at regional and international levels and reflect its commitment to sharing its specialized expertise with fellow members of global auditing organizations.

The release added that the two sides held a bilateral meeting to discuss issues of mutual interest and explore ways to enhance and activate cooperation across various fields.
