Riyadh International Industry Week 2026 Concludes with Participation from 17 Countries
Riyadh International Industry Week 2026, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, concluded today at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, featuring 337 exhibitors from 17 countries and attracting more than 14,000 visitors from around the world.
The event brought together three specialized exhibitions: the 21st editions of Saudi Plastics and Petrochem and Saudi Print and Pack, and the 4th edition of Saudi Smart Logistics. It showcased the latest industrial and logistics technologies along with printing and packaging solutions, while creating opportunities for cooperation and investment between local and international companies.
The week's activities focused on enhancing industrial sustainability, supporting digital transformation, and improving the efficiency of supply and production chains, while reinforcing the strategic partnership between Riyadh Exhibitions Company Ltd. and Germany's Messe Düsseldorf. The partnership connects the specialized Saudi exhibitions with three of the leading global trade fairs in the plastics, packaging, and printing sectors: K, Interpack, and Drupa.
The accompanying conference, featuring more than 40 local and international speakers from 13 countries, discussed a range of topics related to Saudi industrial transformation, accelerating innovation, localization, and global competitiveness. It also addressed the role of industrial enablers in supporting investors and improving the efficiency of factories and small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as the future of smart logistics and related technologies, including robotics, autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. Other topics included advanced packaging solutions, regulatory compliance in the plastics industry, and the circular polymer economy and its role in supporting industries of the future.
The conference sessions also addressed industrial investment financing strategies, the future of drones in e-commerce and urban delivery services, and best practices for using rooftop spaces to generate sustainable economic returns from solar energy. Discussions also covered microplastic quantification and its role in achieving net zero and measuring the carbon footprint of polymer life-cycle systems.
The sessions further examined plastic alternatives and the redefinition of next-generation plastic materials, smart factory solutions in the polymer and molding industries, and the future of sustainability in the plastics and packaging industries, as well as related challenges in the Kingdom.
During the event, the National Industrial Development Center oversaw the signing of an agreement between the National Plastic Factory Company. and Spain's Figueras, a global company specializing in seating manufacturing solutions and technologies, to localize stadium and theater seat manufacturing technologies. The agreement contributes to transferring technical knowledge, increasing local content, and enhancing the added value of national manufacturing industries. The event also witnessed the signing of several high-impact industrial agreements and partnerships related to the localization of advanced industrial technologies and the development of manufacturing solutions, including agreements covering sectors such as machinery, industrial equipment, and production lines.
The exhibition included a series of specialized workshops that addressed the latest technologies and innovations in the industrial sector. The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources participated in a workshop titled "The Role of the Ministry of Industry in Enhancing Industrial Quality," during which it highlighted its efforts to support the quality of national products and raise the competitiveness of the industrial sector. SABIC and Advanced Petrochemical Company also organized a number of specialized workshops focused on solutions in polymers, packaging, healthcare, sustainability, and industrial innovation.
Riyadh International Industry Week 2026 is part of efforts to build international industrial partnerships, enable industrial investments, and showcase the latest technologies and solutions that help build more competitive and sustainable national industries, further strengthening the Kingdom's position as a regional and global industrial hub.
