Local Content Authority Signs Two Localization Agreements to Boost National Capabilities

The Local Content and Government Procurement Authority announced the signing of two agreements to localize industry and transfer knowledge, aimed at strengthening national capabilities and developing local industries. The agreements also seek to enhance local content by transferring technologies to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, contributing to economic diversification and stronger local supply chains.
 The authority said that the first agreement aims to localize the production of light and sound warning devices for security vehicles through separate agreements with two companies specializing in the field, in cooperation with the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority.
 The second agreement involves localizing the production of firefighter helmets with a specialized company, in cooperation with the Supreme Authority for Industrial Security.
 Spokesperson of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority Eng. Abdulrahman Alsagheir said that the two agreements would contribute to creating an economic impact on gross domestic product of up to SAR195 million and creating 90 jobs.
