Municipalities Ministry Advances Food Safety System with Smart Inspection Tools

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing continues to develop the food safety system across the Kingdom's regions by updating health requirements and improving the efficiency of field inspections.
The ministry said that efforts include updating technical and health requirements for food establishments, developing health certificates for workers and improving the efficiency of their electronic issuance, as well as training personnel working in the sector.
On the inspection side, municipalities conduct field visits to restaurants, kitchens, and food outlets to verify compliance with health requirements.
The ministry has adopted body-worn cameras as a key tool within its smart inspection system.
The ministry urged members of the public to report observations and violations at food establishments through the unified number 940 or the Balady platform.
