Jazan's Rural Farms Offer Unique Ramadan Tourism Experience

Jazan Region is emerging as a compelling destination for rural agricultural tourism, attracting investors with its blend of sustainable farming and recreational activities, while offering an unconventional and increasingly alternative to the traditional surge in restaurant and cafe visits during Ramadan.

These farms provide unique experiences, including nature tours, farm-to-table dining, and opportunities to participate in harvesting fresh produce.

In an interview with the Saudi Press Agency at Al-Full (Jasmine) rural farm in Damad Governorate, Cooperative Agri-Rural Tourism Association (Refena) Chairman Eng. Radhi Al-Fraidi highlighted the farm's appeal as a natural retreat during Ramadan. The farm offers affordable, community-prepared meals amid jasmine groves, providing a peaceful respite from urban life.

Al-Full, a licensed tourist farm spanning 135,000 square meters, features 100,000 trees and shrubs, including 12,000 jasmine trees, and produces jasmine-based products. This initiative supports sustainable added value and creates local employment opportunities. Visitors have praised the farm's Ramadan iftar for its nostalgic evocation of Jazan's rural life.

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is actively supporting rural tourism in Jazan, recognizing its potential for sustainable rural development. The region's diverse landscape, featuring mountains, fertile plains, and verdant farms, offers a glimpse into Jazan's simple, traditional lifestyle.
