SGS Launches Second Batch of Geological Data Packages

The Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) launched today the second batch of reliable, high-quality geological data packages to add value to the mining sector and attract local and foreign investments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 The official spokesperson for the SGS, Tariq Aba Al-Khail, elaborated that this data will play a significant role in stimulating the economy and diversifying income sources in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. He noted that the new geological datasets cover 30% of the Arabian Shield, increasing the publication rate on the National Geological Database platform to 60% since the initiative began.

 The data includes surface geochemical and airborne geophysical survey information for the general geological survey program. Additionally, it features primary data from the optical scanning of core drill samples, over 4,000 technical reports related to mineralization sites in digital format, and newly registered mineralization sites on the National Geological Information Database platform.
